A good trainer knows one thing…Communication is one of the main keys for success when training a group of individuals.
I myself work virtually and have been in charge of training groups as large as 10 people from a remote destination and I can tell you that Collaboration tools are a must if you want to keep things in order and if you want to properly train your staff.
I’ve taken the liberty of sharing my top 3 picks of Collaboration tools (in order by most costly to FREE!) that have helped me properly train staff members in the past. Hopefully you’ll find these collaboration tools to be as useful as I did. Enjoy!
Note: All of the platforms listed have a paid and free version. If your team is small enough and you don’t need all the bells and whistles I have found that the free versions work perfectly for team collaboration.
By far one of my favorite Collaboration tools out there! I have been using Asana for years now and it has never disappointed. Better known as a project management tool Asana allows you to assign tasks to all members of a group, it also allows you to add followers to specific tasks and follow deadlines. I myself have used Asana in the past to set up training tutorials that have a specific deadline that needs to be met and have found the platform to work perfectly!
Whereas Asana seems to be aiming more for the professional crowd Basecamp seems to be more for the freelancer or small business type (in my honest opinion that is).
I have never really had a reason to purchase the paid version of Basecamp but the free version works perfectly if you have a small number of people you need to train.
Basecamp allows you to do pretty much the same basic tasks as Asana but its interface is much different. It’s more of a drag and drop version than Asana is making it easier for people to navigate.
Is an introduction really needed here? As far as free collaboration tools go …this is it!
Google Drive starts you off with 15 Gigabytes of free online storage where you can keep important slides, recordings, videos or documents. The best part it makes it extremely easy to share important items with other members on your team. If you’re looking for an easy platform to set up and share with multiple individuals then this is the way to go.
